Semtech's Neo-Iso Isolated Power and Switch Solutions for IoT Applications

Semtech Corporation, a global supplier of analog and mixed-signal semiconductor products, announces the launch of its new power and switch solutions that integrate the Neo-Iso technology for added intelligence and higher control in Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

The Neo-Iso technology allows low-power microcontrollers to control high voltage loads in the system and also facilitates reporting of faulty conditions that leads to more efficient and safer operations. Low current requirements permit each Neo-Iso switch to operate off the harvested power from the load, phasing out the requirement for additional supplies.

The Neo-Iso switches prove its efficiency in achieving high levels of performance, consistency, and reliability in volume manufacturing processes. Its semiconductor-based architecture allows for future integration and scalability, two unique features not available in legacy technologies like optocouplers and mechanical relays.

1. TS13101 Galvanic Isolated Latching 60V Power Load Switch

The TS13101, a galvanically isolated 60V power switch device, enables bi-directional blocking and high-efficiency switching of power loads through a single integrated 110k Ohm high voltage FET. The turn-on/off of the switch is controlled by a CLK sequence, which makes the switch latch on and stay on until the turn off sequence is provided.

2. Ts13102 Neo-Iso Solid State Relay with Improved Diagnostics

The TS13102 includes the integrated features of TS13101, along with a 290m high voltage switch and a single-pin CLK input for sequence options including immediate on/off, latching and non-latching behavior, dither modes, zero-volt switch-on, and zero-current switch-off.
